Dick Blinn, President of Genesis HealthCare, Northeast, has been a leader in this sector of our industry for the past 35 years. He will describe the transformation that has occurred over these years and his vision of where post-acute care providers will be in the near and distant future. Dick will also discuss some of the new innovations and trials that Genesis HealthCare will be pioneering as we move forward in these turbulent times.

Dick Blinn, Executive Vice President/President, Northeast Division
Genesis HealthCare

Dick is Executive Vice President/President of the Northeast Division with responsibility for operations in CT, NH, MA, ME, RI and VT. Genesis HealthCare is a leading provider of post-acute services to older Americans and their families in the United States.

Dick also has responsibility for renovations of, and investment in, Genesis Centers. Since 1998, he has been responsible for the Northeast Area, overseeing daily operations of more than 100 skilled nursing centers and assisted living communities.

He has over 30 years experience in the health care and previously as a social worker, administrator, district manager, and vice president of operations. Dick is a Massachusetts Senior Care Association, Past-Chairman, and Past President of the Massachusetts Long Term Care Foundation and currently a Board Member. He, also, is a member of the Massachusetts Long Term Care Foundation and a member of its Executive Committee. He serves as the Secretary of the Connecticut Association of Healthcare Facilities.

He holds a Bachelor of Science from Westfield State College and a Masters from the University of Southern New Hampshire.
