Greg Wilmot, President & CEO of NeighborHealth, formerly East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, oversees nearly 2,000 staff members, 120,000 patients and an annual operating revenue of $275+ million. Since 1970, NeighborHealth has worked with its neighbors to deliver high-quality health care that is compassionate, people-centric, culturally appropriate, and open to all.
The largest community-based primary care health system in Massachusetts, NeighborHealth was named a National Quality Leader by HRSA in 2023 and provides a wide range of services, including primary care, 24/7 emergency care, behavioral health care, specialty care, and various other health and wellness programs, all guided by the belief that high-quality, accessible, and culturally-aware care, delivered in the patient’s preferred language, translates into better health outcomes for patients.
Prior to assuming the role of President and CEO in 2022, Greg served as NeighborHealth’s Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Executive Director of Neighborhood PACE. Before joining NeighborHealth, Greg worked in various roles spanning the health and human services industries. This included working as a Director at Mass General Brigham and as a Director at Boston Medical Center Health System.
Additionally, Greg served under former Massachusetts Governor, Deval Patrick, in the Administration’s Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), as Senior Advisor to the EOHHS Secretary and led strategy and performance management for the secretariat. Greg also worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts in various operational and management roles.
Greg holds a BA in Psychology from Boston College and an MBA from Northeastern University with a specialization in Investments. Greg was awarded the YMCA Achievers award in 2016 and the Boston Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award in 2019. In 2023, Greg received the Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus Black Excellence on the Hill Award; Get Konnected’s Most Influential Men of Color recognition; and Modern Healthcare’s Top Diversity Leader award. In 2024, Greg was recognized as an Innovator in Healthcare by the Boston Business Journal, a Top Community Hospital CEO to Know by Becker’s Hospital Review and the recipient of the Patrick Hughes Award for Social Justice from Project Bread.
Currently, Greg serves as a member of various boards and agencies including the Board of Health for the Boston Public Health Commission, Advocates for Community Health, East Boston Social Centers, Community Servings, and The Women’s Lunch Place. Additionally, Greg serves on the Board of Trustees for Boston Medical Center Health System. Greg is also a member of the Health Equity Compact. Previously, Greg served on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts PACE Association, The Dimock Center, and the Dorchester YMCA, among various other local non-profit boards.
