Applications Closed

The formal six-month program runs from
October 2024 to April 2025

The ACHE of MA Mentorship Program supports healthcare professionals at all stages of their careers, from early-career to senior-level, by helping them navigate their roles while creating opportunities for growth, connection, and engagement. This program offers early-career professionals and/or leaders in transition the chance to learn from experienced healthcare leaders and executives across various industries.

For mentors, the program provides a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development of leaders and a strong foundation for a meaningful mentoring experience, guided by intentional relationships and clearly defined goals.

Free of charge to ACHE members, eligibility is as follows:

Mentees: Must be an ACHE member for at least one year, currently employed (or seeking employment) in a healthcare role, and eager to grow professionally.

Mentors: Must be an ACHE member with mid-career or senior-level experience, and a commitment to investing in the development of aspiring healthcare leaders.

What is Mentoring?

Mentoring is a professional relationship in which a more experienced individual (the mentor) offers guidance, advice, and support to a less experienced individual (the mentee). The mentor serves as a role model and counselor, assisting the mentee in areas such as leadership, management, and career development.

This relationship is built on trust and mutual respect, with both the mentor and mentee sharing responsibilities. Both parties should benefit from the relationship.

Who Should Be a Mentor vs. Mentee?

ACHE of MA’s Mentorship Program is open to professionals in various stages of their healthcare careers. We define seasoned professionals, mid-careerists, and early-careerists as follows:

  • Seasoned Healthcare Executives: C-suite executives (CEO, Vice Presidents) with at least 5 years of experience or directors with 6-10 years of experience in healthcare leadership.
  • Mid-Career Professionals: Directors, administrators, and managers with 2-5 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Early-Career Professionals: Individuals in the early stages of their healthcare career who are seeking professional growth and leadership development.

We look forward to creating meaningful connections and supporting the career development of healthcare professionals through this program!
